When I opened the door of the restaurant that a waitress was coming with smiles on her face to provide a table with two of us. Whitten tablecloth was putted on carmine table and the same carmine cloth was decorated on sofa chairs to bring out a harmony theme. An egg-yellow wall lamp added some warm atmosphere as well. The coffee-brown wooden wall makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Alone with the fuzzy light, it has built a romantic moment for our two. What create a romantic environment were the splendid dishes and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant.

However, these perfect scenes were not as same as my imagination, the reality would be described as followed: While we were sitting down, the waitress bought us menus with carmine background and showed us so many appetizer dishes as well as Italy noodle, dessert, all kinds of pizzas, drinks and etc. We had to make the waitress come back a while later because the menu looked so puzzle to us and we need time to think about it without her standing by. A moment later when we decided our dishes, we could not find any waitress around. We waited for another few minutes for another waitress passes by, we wanted to draw her attention but she seemed not seeing our waving hands at all. I finally shouted loudly to her for her attention. She then finally turned to us yet this action made us so embarrass in front of other customers. Finally, these uncomfortable feelings have made a depressing day of us.

 

Accompany with light and music, our mood has calm down again and made us enjoy our dishes. While we were having our delicious dishes, I noticed a young waitress (looks like a student to me) who seemed very responsible because she kept refilling our water. Obviously, she's taking care of refilling customers' water.  Not to mention she certainly disturbed our peaceful dining time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

However, I would think she was over-responsible for this minor job because the frequency she came to refill our water was much greater than the number of our empty cups. One unbelievable event was that she even kept a distance of three meters of us and started listening our conversation whenever she finished refill our water. Since this girl disturbed our conversation, we had to change our chatting topic from romantic to everyday jokes. We noticed that while we were laughing, someone from the distant laughed as well. We found out it was the girl who enjoyed our conversation which made us feel very uncomfortable. We clearly stated our uncomfortable feeling and had her leave until we need her service again. 

When we about to finish our romantic dining with the blandly light and music rhythm, we could not find anyone to checkout. At that moment, I felt I would rather bring up bills and pay at the cashier instead of waiting forever. I pondered a while after I left. Situations such as I experienced happened in our everyday life. Waiters/waitresses often rushed customers for ordering after customers has just sat for the first minute. In another hand, when customers were ready to order, no one was available for them. Meanwhile when customers were enjoying the dishes, water refilling has come alone to disturb.   Moreover, waiter/waitress sometimes stand aside enjoying customers' conversation.   There was one time I requested a special seasoning yet the waiter has totally forgotten but he went to serve other customers who has requested later than me. I often question in my mind: How could other customers get anything they need in time yet I had to wait forever? Why would I have to look for someone for checkout? Why couldn't waiters/waitresses know my request on time?

Questions such as above have always bothered me. I hate these servicing lacks always disturbed my joyful dining time. Therefore, I believed technology could resolve people's difficulties. I imagined if there has a product for me to call the service whenever I need to by pressing a button or somehow a bell that reminds the waiter/waitress to come to me. Then I tried to search similar products online yet the products I found were not totally matched my picture. Those products were generally lacked of design and did not match a typical restaurant theme.   That means, a good product must take care of its exterior design to fit its market environment, especially we're talking about 'Restaurant' business that requires a theme style and the restaurant image. I love beautiful things including ignore things without beauty. Therefore, I told myself a product such as this service bell would have to be reinvented.

Next day, we sponsored a meeting, especially for this idea, we formed a S1 Team to focus on this project. During the project process, we continuously thought about: how can we make a product that is easy to use, convenient, and practical for our users? All of these efforts came from our faith and famous quote - Once we're going to do it, we will make the best of it.

As a matter of fact, our company had developed electronic products in telecomm industry more than ten years. We would like to give our customers more than the product itself. We take aesthetic feelings as our production force. We sincerely to bring a higher taste of our product quality to the customers, customers (your) support will be our inspiration for next S1 product and is always valuable to us as well.
